I created this poster to promote the short film Road Kill directed by Steve Tyrrell, starring Les Hill.
The client provided the photo.
I pumped up the red of the bloody bag, the hunter's vest and the shooter's logo on the hat. I created the tunnel vision, grainy vignette effect to imply a dreamy, semi-conscious feeling.
The look is finished with grunge type including the logo which I also designed. The type is not overdone and spaced and leaded loosly so as to be easily legible. I hate it when the type on posters is so stylised that it is difficult to read.
