Nic supplied the photos. I think Nic took the mixer shot himself and the portrait was taken by Aaron George.
The photo of the mixer was taken with a fairly wide lens, pretty close up and was a little distorted. This lens distortion gave me the idea to radically distort the image into a full 360 degree seemless fisheye.
The type on a circular path echoed the theme. I muted the colours in the background and pumped the colours in the portrait shot to give the design a bit more definition.
Nic wanted to use a simple round case without an insert, because he says the case and insert are quickly discarded with only the disc remaining. All the information must be on the actual disc for it to be of any value as a demo.
The run was limited, so screen printing was not cost effective. It took a couple of samples, but eventually good quality Dye Sub output was located.
